The detailed (4-5 pages) build sheets were discontinued around the middle of the Daytona run. I understand that a summary 1 page sheet was prepared for later cars, although I have not seen one. The detailed sheets used to be provided free for the asking, but now they command a rather large fee...I think $1,000 .

Ferrari won't admit it but at this late date they no longer have all the sheets for various serial numbers anymore. For years the sheets just sat neglected in boxes at the factory. Jacques Swatters was one person who was interested in the build sheets and was allowed to 'make notes' from the originals on hand when he visited the factory.

To answer the original question it depends on the year the Ferrari was built.

car was built in 2000. I was basically curious but not willing to pay $1,000.
what about getting the original window sticker?

Chevrolet will reproduce the window sticker for any 1981 or later Corvette. This is done through the Corvette Museum. Maybe Ferrari will consider offering this service in the future. Does the original selling dealer keep a copy or photocopy for their records?
