Hi all, I'm upgrading my now 2nd York compressor to GT Car Parts' Sanden conversion which is supposed to be a straight drop in. The issue I'm having is that the studs on my car used to mount the compressor adaptor bracket to the support bracket have an M10x1.25 long side which goes to the upper support bracket, but some other, coarser pitch for the short side used to mount to the compressor. Both the original compressor and the aftermarket replacement I just pulled out have that coarse thread, but the holes in the brackets mounted to the GT Car Parts compressor are metric. Are my studs with two different pitches original to the car? And if so, did anyone else install the GT kit and have the same issue? Thanks, Warren.
Nevermind, yes, it's American thread on one side and metric on the other. GT suggests flipping the stud but it doesn't give enough room for adjustment as far as I can see. I ordered these, in case anyone else is going down the same route: https://belmetric.com/m10x1-25-double-end-stud-class-10-9-hardened/?srsltid=AfmBOoq6gfa6GeWDF4RnCStRY92L7xKFjn_OO7iZLPlq-b5xEBBuNE9U&sku=SH10X1.25X75DBLK
Assuming you eventually fitted it ? How did you find this “ upgrade “? https://gtcp.com/product/115776rrk-a-c-compressor-retrofit-kit-with-brackets/
