So I bought a new Sanden sd7H13 compressor, fits like a glove, but, and it is always a but with these cars[emoji17], the old compressor have the same connection for both pipes/hoses while the new one have different size connections and threads, anyone know if there is a adapter for the A/C connections.

Connectors are specific to the required refrigerant, so make sure you keep that in mind.

No. R12 and R134 use same connectors on the car. The only difference is the service ports.

Many places have a specialized A/C supply or shop. I'd check with them. It may be a situation most easily resolved by trading the end housing.

From where did you purchase the Sanden?

Just bought it from ebay Germany, it was a sd7H13 7312, I read here on the forum that that one would have the same dimensions, but I didn’t know r12 and r134 have different size connections, so I guess I have to change the hoses as well.

Wait a sec : are you talking about the connections to the car or the connectors to charge the system?

Connections to the car, or from the pump to the hose.

Ah. Yes, those aren't specific to refrigerant. I thought you meant the others.

That's unusual and not correct, that the compressor has the same connection for both hoses. And doesn't meet common A/C compressor specs. We have different hose diameters because of the significantly different pressures (Higher pressure on discharge side means smaller diameter) Factory is 7/8"-14 UNF for the suction (low pressure) side and 3/4"-16 UNF for the discharge (high pressure) side.
I found the compressor you mentioned on ebay Germany and it exactly has these fittings.
Did you purchase a new compressor or a used one, which was "modified" by someone?

The 2 cylinder compressor for early 308 and all US 308 and 328 had exactly the same fittings as do a great many other compressors. The fitting size has nothing to do with hose size.

Sorry for the wrong information. I just "saw" Euro cars. O.k. Then it's simple. He simply purchased the wrong compressor.

But what confuses me completely, is that Ferrari UK lists the same -different size and fittings- A/C hoses for all cars from the earliest 208/308 till the QV. No matter Euro or US.

Try www.coldhose.com for fittings and other A/C needs. I pulled all of my hoses out of a 87 328 GTS, sent them to them and had completely new hoses, plus fittings made. Total turn around from when I shipped the hoses to having new ones was less than two weeks. They offered reduced wall hoses in order tofit through the small confines of the 328.

The fittings are 1-14UNS RotaLock. The proper backhead for a 7H compressor is a CB. Sanden doesnt have an off the shelf compressor with a CB backhead installed so you need to source it separately. I bought my compressor through www.ACPARTS.COM and had them put a CB backhead on it. You can purchase the backhead yourself and swap it; it comes off without disassembling the whole compressor. Just be sure to replace the gasket, clock it correctly and properly torque the bolts.

Do you have to specify counter clockwise rotation when ordering the SD7H13 or is that model always CCW?

If you have a local A/C supply they may do it for you while you stand there and wait. Mine does.
