Need some help from the experts. The A/C in my 89 TR is not working. When I press the A/C button, or the defrost for that matter, nothing - no fan, nothing. I've checked the fuse and it's ok. Any suggestions? Thanks
Unplug the white "k" connector as shown in this jpeg -- the (significant) +12V power to run the whole AC system runs thru the 2nd terminal from the right of that connector. If yours is frazzled as in the jpeg that could be the problem. If all seems OK there, (plug everything back in and) turn the AC system on and see if the blower will run at full speed only -- if so, could be the power transistor has failed or the fan speed ECU. Check these points -- we'll go from there...
