I am new and posted this on the 430 section--just bought a 2005 430 and the A/C seems to work fine with thermostat on lowest setting but does not cool at all at any other temp setting. Compressor shuts off. One suggestion was there may be dust in the cabin sensor, which I will check -- other ideas are appreciated. I looked through about 250 posts about a/c before starting this thread, so please don't complain about another a/c thread--I tried! Thanks

I'm sure this isn't the case here but one of the most common issues for new owners is the a/c off button being off not on - is it worth trying again with the big buttons on auto and just leaving it a while set at around 65 F - also double-checking the recirculation switch position to be 'released'

On some models of that era there's an a/c reset procedure to be used after battery-off which I think involves just max & min temp - I cannot recall the exact details

    JoeG,

I'm sure I've read of similar complaints in the past. It's not an area of great interest to me so I haven't retained a link for it. I've a feeling the issues may have been down to a faulty thermostat.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Will post again if I should happen to find a relevant thread.

Joe- If you go to ferraridatabase.com, you can download an F430 workshop manual, which has a whole section on the A/C system. Assuming, of course, you do not just have the controls misset.
