My high pressure line on my INTEGRA blew from age & I was about to replace it with an Aftermarket/repaired line for $30.00 apposed to the dealer quoted price of $210.00. ($480.00 w/ labor, yea right.) My question is if I use a repaired A/C line, it will have a tolerance of 150lbs. Any more than that, it may leak but I may not know until I put it on. . Is it worth dealing with on a high pressure line or should I replace it with a new OEM?

    William,

My answer to your question is it depends. If you only plan to car another year or two, there will be no problem with non oem.

Having had numerous acuras and honda's, I usually buy the OEM part from the dealer and just install it myself. My recommendation, if you plan to keep the car longer term, get OEM. :)

Btw how old is your Acura? I have had a few TLs and two integras and never had any problems with AC with any of my honda/acura products. One of my accords did need a charge, however, last year.

I have no problem putting it on but I'm not fond of that price, at this point I have no idea how long I'm going to keep that car. I use it for SCCA events & it's been great to me, but it's starting to show it's age. Almost nothing on it that I can't fix though.
