Hello everyone, It seems that my fresh air supply is always closed. The compressor works ok and it cools the car down, but I can never have fresh air supply from the outside. The push button for the recirculation does not seem to have any effect, however, at times, when I try the button, I get air out from the defogger slots. Also the heater does not seem to work: I get air flow, but it does not get hot. Any clues / suggestions? Thank you, Saluti,
Come on guys: doesn't anyone have a suggestion? Where is the brain of the climate control located? What triggers the operation of the solenoid valve and of the circulating pump for the heater? Florida is under a cold spell these days..... Tks. Saluti,
Alfredo, I don't know the 456 to comment but on the 360, the A/C switch must be on for the heat to come on. If the A/C switch is not on, no heat comes out. The OAT sensor tells the system to call for heat or A/C. I don't know if this is the same for yours, but it's worth a try.
The brain of the climate control (Diavia) is located behind the driver's side footwell panel. It's a small black box with a circuit board inside and it's attached to the evaporator box. It has a pin connector going to it so you might try and unplug and replug this. I had to replace mine.
Well, thank you both. I started to dig today and found a cable hanging from the wire harness, with two connectors that were not connected by the fuse panel. I re-connected it and checked one by one all fuses (they were all good) and then the heat started to work. The A/C has to be on for the heat to work as well, like in the 360 apparentl Now the only strange thing happening is the defroster being activated when I push in the recirculation button. However the damper for the outside air supply / recirculation seeme sto be working as I hear some noise coming from it, although it seems it has a mind of its own. As for the brain of the A/C, I saw it but before I read your suggestion GTB4Nart. Anyway, thank you both guys. Saluti,
