I'm working on a solution to replace the white symbols on the AC vents that inevitably are destroyed when you repaint. Would one of you with decent vents take a few good, high quality photos of the side and central vents, then post them for the good of brotherhood-kind? Thanks.
Yeah man, i need to do that to to my vents... that white stuff was cleaned right off by the previous owner...
I just refinished my side vents also. White screenprinting came off in the process. I haven't done my center vent so I can get a photo of it for you. Send me a PM with an e-mail address I can send a hi-res photo to. How are you intending to recreate this? Are you making a screen? It is recessed and a glued together part making screenprinting difficult. A decal would be a better option.
I'm thinking of a white vinyl die cut sticker. I've experimented with several ink / paint methods and none of them are satisfactory. I think a good white vinyl applique would be perfect, and I have a source for small quantities at a good price. Email is webmaster AT wsra DOT com. I'll keep you posted on progress, and I will assuredly make plenty of spares if they turn out ok.
