hhmmm...i can imagine the thought process... "will i buy a bimmer or a daytona?" riiiighhhhhhhhtttttttttttttt
I'm getting an ever increasing picture of "Broker Morant" lurking under a bridge in Melbourne. "We followed rule 3 0 8!! SurrrH!"
They have a strange way of propelling the AirCon pulley. It opposes and chases around the waterpump with a lash. Basic engine isn't bad but the bits around that make it a pretty foolish rust bucket.
I prefer the ealier V12 car, better looking, faster and better finished. Wish i had of kept the Benz W140 V12,fantastic car in the finish, the current Benz/BMW limo are rubbish in the finish department. Oh well its only a car to get Terry around in. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree about the looks but there isn't much wrong with the later BMW/Benzes. Not enough horsehair and Bakelite for you? Anyway, I'm hoping to drive my S-Class to Sydney and back after Xmas. That should be a good test. It's a V12 btw.
Finish of the current cars is crap ie look at the carpets, leather and the crome or wood. I reckon the early V12 BMW I had drove better then this car, more sporting. At the end of the day non of them come close to the Mulsanne.or the old Arnage. Colour is everything in these cars, near me is a 2000 BMW 750 individual pack car ,dark blue with cream sports seats, not worth a lot may 30k but looks horn.
Old Bentleys are OK if you aren't in a hurry to get places. Ideal for transporting a sleeping dog - not enough acceleration to wake him. Don't bother telling me how quick they are - they wouldn't see which way a German V12 went.
yea right dream on. The ride in the Bentley will be long remembered after the Benz is yesterdays model/hero. The last of the Arnage series were limited to a 179mph . 0 to 100ks in 5.3 seconds.
Rob,there is a reasonably priced 330 GTC on ebay for 162K LHD at Copely motor cars.USA Needs work but less of a fake than a Daytona. Copelys have a few more interesting OHOS as well.
