that is a ripoff, recently saw a complete set of cavalleria for 1400 euro.

Basically my understanding is since the books cost about 50 bucks, the final edition on the California is pretty sought after and rare. I've seen one sell for close to 400. Unfortunately there are some greedsters out there who think they now apply this ridiculous price to the other cavalleria books and hope some fool takes the bait, for example that JA asking 1200 bucks for the one edition. I'm somehow guessing it still hasn't sold, lol!

ok, ripoff or now, someone definitely bid these up at the Bonhams auction. If they paid or not, who knows, but probably. Yeah, I thought this was high for the Cavalleria. The others, I am unsure of.

I built a set one issue at a time. They started out at less than $100USD, maybe $65 or $75, but by the time the series was completed they were over $100 each.

And like any long finished "out of print" book, the market sets the value....

    HTH

I have the full set, many unread, plus Mario Andretti kindly signed the 312PB.

The final California was a bit of an odd duck, it was added and the slip case does not match the rest.
