    1. Do anyone's instrument panel idiot lights stay oriented properly? Mine are clocked all over the place and seem too loosely seated in the panel to stay when I try to rotated them. Are all 308s that way or did the upholsterer who recovered the panel for the PO mess up?

    2. A couple of my plug wire loom clips need replacing. Are they threaded or a press fit. Do I just yank 'em out?

Don't know about the wire looms, but the dash lights are a two part thing....base/lens.

You take that apart to access the bulbs.

The outer base once had two clips on it retaining it to the plate, by now they are mostly broken off. Try to source repros on that part, or I just wrapped my bases in double sided tape until they fit securely, jammed them back in and went on with life...

I'll try the tape. The upside down battery image on the alt light and emergency flasher triangle pointing down have upset the balance of the universe for me.

Pull out and try reversing the wires to remove the torque that MAY be applied to the light.

Pull. Replacements are available from all the usual suspects.

I'm making my own by epoxying heavier Mr Gasket wire clips back to back and will attach them with a nylon screw.

I tiny dab of silicone glue on each and they'll be perfect. I spent an hour messing with tape, didn't work at all for me.
