Carsten, I know, I know - the paint looks to be quite nice. But still, would you mind turning the key, I'd like to hear it You are truly amazing! Love to you, Tina & Nanna---------- Hank
I really wish that I could do just that!!! Thanks dear friend, but without you guys to encourage my work, I really would be nobody..... picture art is only as good as your eyes and imagination makes it!! Love to you too Carsten
Time for an update on this one! Note rear rim, and the tyre thread pattern on the front wheel*! There was not much space to do the pattern in, so it's not quite as good as the pattern I made in the rear tyre, but I still think it suits the drawing pretty well!!! *(the pattern in the front tyre was impossible to see in the photo I have to work from, so now I really hope that Jon runs with the same thread pattern on both front and rear wheels???!!) I feel most certain that the two Dino drawings, this 246GTS for Jon, and the 246GT also currently being made for Dave, will become "evergreens" among my works.....together they are a very nice couple, and they would really look good if hanged next to each other IMOHO! Note front wheel and tyre, dashboard and gauges.......I know the gauges don't look exactly real, but when seen at a distance and considering the size of the gauges and the fact that they are supposed to be behind two layers of glass and everything....... it does look somewhat right IMHO!!! @Jon; I don't know if anyone else has noticed that this car has no windscreen wipers mounted???? (In fact both in the photo I am working from, and in the drawing!!) I don't know if I should try to make the wipers, and the little holes for holding the rear license plate??? (In fact those holes are visible in the photo) I'm not sure if Jon would preffer the drawing without those little holes.......are they drilled from the factory, or is this done at the dealer prior to delivery??? What do you think Jon?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Update 17! You may notice the "brand" on the rear tyre, which now ads a lot more to the drawing......and the tail lights which is not completely finished yet!!! Update 19 and much, much closer!!! There will only be a very few updates left, before this one is finished!!! Now, do you still like it guys??? Like it? I love it! Your Dino GTB front view drawing is looking absolutely fabulous too off course but I think my favourite of your two Dino drawings will stay this black Dino GTS seen from the back.
Thanks a lot Alexander, Sssshhhhhhhh.........please don't reveal my secrets here!!!!! (But, could you tell me where you bought that awesome "paper-polish" you sent me......I could use some more of that.....makes everything a lot easier for me!!) All my best Carsten
So here is the finished drawing of Jon's beautiful black Dino 246GTS! I don't know what's up with those Dino drawings, but I really LOVE them! They go so well together and I only wish that I could do a new set of Dino's just like those for Tina and myself......but I'm affraid I can't make the same drawing twice, since they are totally unique and I would probably not even get close to those if I tried to do them once again! @Jon, Thanks Jon for the wonderful photo that is to blame for this drawing, I would not have been able to do this without it! Congrats with your car too.....it's awesome, and it was a marvelous and great model for my humble drawing, Thanks to the photos provided by you and Dave, I finally got on to do the Dino drawings that I had planned since the last two years, and which I had promised Tina to do, ever since the day that we first met!! Again, I hope that everyone has enjoyed the thread with the making of this drawing, equally as much as I have enjoyed the making itself!
