    Good afternoon, I have a personal question, I am Brazilian, I live in Brazil, have a 355F1 98, and I have some friends here who has 458. But they have a complaint, which only seems to happen here in Brazil, the car here seems more sluggish compared to the videos, figures and comparisons in Europe. A Turbo PDK Porsche 997 runs along than 458, and GTR 2012 (both stock). I was wondering if it is so everywhere, or only here in Brazil that the car'' earns'' less.

    Might have something to do with the ethanol content of gasoline. Ethanol in naturally asperated cars gets lower milage and produces less power (mainly because you can't increase the compression ratio and advance the ignition to suit.)

    In a Turbo car, however, the added effective octane of ethanol means the turbo boost can be set higher, or that the engine management does not kick in to spoil the fun as often.

    Due to turbo motors creating their own atmospheric pressure, they are not affected as badly as a normally aspirated engine due to elevation. That would be my take on this situation. Plus the gas you have there will cause performance issues as posted in other replies.
