I still remember the first time I saw the Testarossa: Miami Vice. I always knew that someday I would own one and the wait is finally over. My dream of Ferrari ownership has finally come to fruition. After literally months of looking, finally finding the car I wanted, and then getting outbid on Ebay by Tork1966 with 4 seconds to go (or should I say 'Bid Sniper' ;-) for the GEORGOUS black '89 TR in Ohio, I figured it would never happen. But then I found my dream car: A Black '91 Testrarossa. Last Friday after 3 weeks of waiting for 'the check to clear' and Joe at Boston Sportscar to perform the major service, she is now all mine. As soon as I got on the road back to the People's Republic of Maryland I knew I made the right decision. This car can go and when I was doing 80 it almost felt like standing still. I am attaching some pics, but I just wanted to thank (probably for the millionth time here on FChat) everyone for their help in what seemed like a life-long seach. Some special props have to go to Mr. Doody, Enzo Joe at Boston Sportscar and his whole crew (from left to right in the photo): Jeff White, Joe Yuliano (a.k.a Enzo Joe), Steve Reemeyer and Chris Luciano. The owner's son, Darrin McCay was kind enough to snap this photo. This whole crew at Boston Sportscar was is really hard to put into words how well I was treated during the entire process. And then, to be invited over to Jeff's house for a home-cooked meal just topped it all off (I will be back up there Thursday for the meal too Jeff ;-). What a group of class individuals. Okay, no more she is all washed and ready to cruise...just awesome! I put 400 miles on her on the way home, and then another 200 over the weekend...what a rush. Oh, my wife says that Carbon can come by to drive it anytime he wants but only if I promise never to get the "Carbon tat" ;-)

Congrats on fulfilling your dreams! Funny how an Italian exotic makes you feel the first time you see it, the first time you ride in one, and the first time you buy one.

On another note, wasn't Joe Yuliano of FOW fame supposed to be working with Lamborghini when he moved further north?

Not sure on Joe's status before BSC, but he did mention that he left FoW for BSC. There is a Lambo shop under BSC(you can't see it in the pics)but not sure if he has worked there at all. The rims are Speedlines (or at least that is what I was told ;-) Hopefully I will see some of you at the next event in the area!

Love your TR. I'd much rather have a TR than a 550/575. She looks mean in black and I love the shields and the rims.

One question though, what kind of tires are those?

LOL...yeah, the angle is a little odd in some of the pics, but she fits in there nice and snug. She won't be spending too much time in the garage either ;-) Especially in the summertime. Thanks for all the kind words!
