I know this functionality exists, what services have you guys had good success with?

I want the ability to reiceve the faxes as PDF, and print if I choose, and save to my computer as a PDF for digital archive filing purposes.

I am not opposed to using one that gives me a 1800 number for a fax number, but I'd rather use a local number.

If I want to use a local number, that I already own, can I set up a computer that is connected to a fax/modem, and use software that emails it to me when I recieve it?

I am open to any and all suggestions on different options.

    Thanks!

Worked well enough for me in the past, haven't used it in a while. Faxes show(ed) up as images in emails.

Thanks T. That service looks like it works well because it allows me to have a 214 number, and it costs less than it would to maintain a separate phone line for a fax machine.

How long has it been since you've used it? Have they been around awhile, i.e., seems like a stable company?

Anyone else have other ones they've used successfully?

Yup, it works fine and has been around for a while. There are other services that are similar, or you can just get software and hook it up to your modem line. But receiving via email would be more convenient.

I use the free version. works great if you just want to receive. You have to pay to send IIRC.
