    The guy is saying the government will implement a rise in insurance costs for high end vehicles ...to double present costs???

    My understanding from watching other news sources is that they were saying that the insurance company could have just paid him out $696K so he could buy another one. The whole thing doesn't make sense.

    Right now our Government run ICBC is in serious debt. They have kept insurance premiums artificially low. To insure an F40 up here would only cost maybe $500 more than my pick up truck. They are talking about charging much more based on the actual replacement cost of the vehicle. BTW: My pick up truck costs $1,800 per year for full coverage.

    The modus operandi of insurance companies is to collect premiums and deny claims. Is anyone surprised by this?

    Its my understanding that this was true in 2012 when the crash took place.. I'm no expert on F40 prices but IIRC they were around 600-800K in 2012 (correct me if I'm wrong).
