Very cool pix, what kind of tickets did you have? Are the drivers always this accessable to the fans at the GP's?
NO!!! You need a pit pass(F1 Paddock Club) or corporate box tickets to get access to the drivers. Normal stands/general(ie: 95% of fans) u might be lucky to get a signing early in the morning when they arrive from hotels(well non euro GP's).
Can you purchase pit passes or are those invite only type items? The only real race I've attended was an IRL even last year and the pit passes were something like 20 bucks and you got all access to the garages and pits while the race was running. I know in F1 no one is allowed near the pits during the race, but are there passes you can purchase to walk around before it starts?
For Silverstone you only need a center transfer pass and you can get access to the drivers if you know where to go and hide from the security guards.Met most of the drivers when they parked their cars in the paddock car park.Actually had to help Schuey park is Quatroporte.He tried to get it in a gap that was much to small so directed him to a larger spot.Just wish I had it on film.My brother and I had Ferrari hospitality tickets and our seats were at the pit entrance(by the first Fosters bridge) and you can actually see me on the tv.
