How do you determine if the car has spline wheel or not? This is a separate issue than metric wheel right? Is it possible to determine if an early TR has the "pump chain" and/or water pump update without engine R/R? Is a "pump chain" has to do with oil pump? If they have not been updated, does that mean the car is susceptible to overheat and oil starvation problem? Many thanks. - Nguyen
By looking at it. Right. Not unless you have reliable documentation that indicates it has been done. Yes. No. It means that the car is running around with the master link clip of the chain either off or likely to come off. However, if the chain comes off one of the problems will be oil starvation.
