I didn't know the Pontiac Sunfire came in a convert! ;)

    Very nice indeed!

It's the wife's car and she loves it - fortunately she is not on the boards and I have a sense of humour. :)

FWIW it is our "utility car" - we use it like other people use their station wagons.

    Cheers

I remember that "utility car" i used to own. The wife used to drive it around, and it was great. Pity that is was the fastest car in my stable, and made the M3 look like a Bavarian Taxi.....

Ahh the irony. She used to say that we already have enough fast cars, but she was driving the fastest!!!

    Long live the RS4.....:D

    Kevin,

Nice car and pictures as always. I did a trip to Point Reyes this morning in Nor Cal, and it was stunnning.

You should throw on some of the newer (not the newest) Boxster S tailights. The non orange turn signals on the newer ones, would really look great against the dark color of the car.

Have fun and be safe out there. How's the benz btw?

When did you get 36K posts, mate????

Thinking about doing the lights all around but will get to it in due course. Kinda want a GT3 front bumper and skirt first to set off the wheels.

Benz is great - got lucky recently when I had an oil change and my mechanic noticed a cracked subframe. 160,000 miles on a Euro-spec car and got a new subframe installed by MBZ for $$$nada. The car is tighter than ever now!! I still feel like a millionaire when I drive it.

    Cheers

Nice car. I always love Black Porsches. I've always been curious, is the Boxster a "chick car"? Just seems tha I always see a girl driving them. Of course, around here, their are prolly only 2 or so.

Ours is Ocean Blue but just had it detailed (see http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=134801109&postcount=10) plus a bit of overcast so it looks black. It was definitely a chick car before I put the wheels on it but I quite enjoy it now. Still rather drive my Ferrari or the Benz on a given day but the Boxster really works well in all situations and I don't worry about whether I have mobile phone reception in case it breaks down...!

    Cheers

    1. I could be wrong, but I think the car is dark blue. ;)

    2. Yeah the boxter is a chick car. Men who are old and has 1 inch winkies drive them

    3. Of course if you see 2 of them and see 2 women in them, it is right to assume its a girl car.

I have seen 1 550 and 1 355 in the last week driven by older women. SHould I conclude that 550s and 355s are "chick cars?"

THe lack of intelligence and incredible ignorance of some of the members never fail to baffle me.

I simply ask if the Boxster was a chick car. I've just going of what I've seen and read. No reason to start insulting other people for asking questions.

Some questions need to be thought about before asked. I wasn't aware that cars had genders. Obviously my thick skull can't comprehend that. I always thought people drive what they like. Silly me. Thank you for englightening me.

While I was looking around the internet, I found that Mini Coopers are girl cars, Miatas are gay men car, Jeep Wrangler are lesbian cars, and Hummers are 1 inch penis guy car. I feel like I am so much smarter after reading these.

Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you read.

No. The Boxster isn't a chick car.

I was looking at them but I think soon I will only have 2 cars and the sporty car I buy will have to take care of all of my needs. The only thing the Boxster lacks IMO is 0-60 times. If it had a little more power {Enter the S} then it would be my choice even though I'm not a convert. type of guy.

It's a very sound car with great style and control, also it's a very fair price.

well said ryan...i hate when people say its a chick car or a red neck car, etc...the boxster and boxster s are fun, fast sports cars...the new boxster s was just as fun to drive as the 997s,...but i quess i am a chick-non masculine guy for liking them....and where i live, i see 10 guys driving the boxster for every woman...and i personal like the styling better than the masculine 911...

    nice car and nice photo's.

How'd you do with all the butterflys? The LA Times had an article in Sat's paper about the huge increase in the number of "painted ladies" and the detrimental effect they're having on the local car population.

We experienced a grip of them while driving to and from Spring Training a few weeks back.

Thanks bud. Honestly, I don't care what people say. I just let them say it usually, when I am out and about in toys. They are fun cars, have a good day. :)

Mike, glad to be back and joining you on the force again. Hope all is well down under. :)

    hehe yeah pimpin LM's!!

I love the LM wheels they are my all time fav and I just put them on. Like Kevallino, I want to put the gt3 front bumper and some side skirts on my car. I've also seen some rear diffuser pieces that bolt on the bottom I like.

go to the nc/sc forum and read the tail of the dragon thread...... if you want any more pics

Agree, though most people don't have red P cars (me included), I think the red looks great. Seems very rare, compared to the silver/dark gry/black/blues out there.
