A friend of mine will be racing F1 this year !!!

I found out that a friend will be racing formula 1 this coming season. I am real good friend with Keejay Albers, a US nickname and his family. Andre,Margaret, and christjian. They moved here to my hometown about 3 years ago from the Netherlands and when they moved christjian was just getting his feet wet in formula 3. I haven't seen christjian since last summer and I knew he was busy with his racing. Well I saw a small announcement on speed vision while watching Daytona coverage about him and I stopped by at Keejays to check up. He said that around Christmas he and Minardi had struck a deal and that he will be driving for Minardi this up and coming season. He is a great kid and I am glad that he got his chance ! He is a rookie this year but I hope he does good but most important I better get some cool stuff ! LOL !!! Also with him in the seat i will finaly be able to attend my first F1 race !

 

LOL , yea isn't that some crap ! Had to find out on speed vision ! I am actualy much better friends with his brother as he is the one that actualy lives close to me. I only see chrstjian when he is visiting. I actualy asked Keejay about him before christmas and at that time it wasn't looking good but around christmas things must have done a big turn around and he landed a ride. According to Keejay he is damn glad to be finished with the mercedes team he was with. He is a good guy. He and his brother are day light and dark. Christjian is a real quite soft spoken guy and keejay is wide open. I wish him well this season for sure.

 

Charles , I stopped by today after I left the spa and they are pumped about the season. Keejay told me how tight it is to get into the pits and how crazy tight it is to get tickets. He said that it is even hard for family to get in. It is usualy just wives and teams only but he thinks he can pull a few strings. He said that even though they are family they still do not get any promised tickets. From what I understand they or minardi still have to buy them. I thought , WOW that sucks ! I love to watch it but with a 2 year old little girl I have no desire to travel very far and go to the races. I was invited to go but I really couldn't leave my little one. I am considering driving to Indy but that would be the only race I could even consider actually attending. Although at the end of the season I would like to get a helmet or something cool like that.

 

John , the last time I actually saw him was at our local Kroger grocery store shopping with his mom. In the summer he comes and visits often and he spends a lot of time at our local lake riding our jet ski's. Last time I talked to him he was actually looking to get one of the Sea Doo boats to cruise in. All of this before he got his ride with minardi. I am sure now that he has signed he wont be hanging out as much as he did last summer. His brother and his dad are different stories. I pass by and see them several times a week and they live right down the road. Sometimes I just wave other I stop and see what's going on so getting one of them on here and posting is no problem at all. For me to get christjian to post I will have to wait until he is around this summer and when he comes to my dads shop I will get him on to say hey. Is anyone here going to the race in Indy ? I am really thinking of trying to get away and go with them. If so maybe we can all hook up !
