Managed to arrange a a passenger ride in a GTO today for a friend of co worker, it really was amazing to see his reaction after an enthusiastic drive, he had been a huge Ferrari fan for years so to be able to make the dream of going in one was special.

I think its hard to convey to people how meaningless the raw figures are and how the astonishing the experience is, here is an example a piece of road with a wall on the one side, the scream of the V12 bouncing off the wall, window down its pure magic.

Here is one statistic though, things are bit wild west down here so its possible to enjoy these cars quite a bit but one peson who wont be enjoying things too much is the owner of a black E92 M3 who for some reason thought he could pull away from a GTO, there really is no comparison as one would expect but it does show the gulf between a fast car and a stupendously fast one.

People can write about GTO values, is the name correct but and this I say with absolute honesty the experience these cars provide makes such discussions pointless, yes its hard to comprehend but when you are in this thing you care not a jot about lap times or other trivial things.

In my mind this will rank as a future Ferrari great....no matter how many times you experience this car it never becomes any less thrilling.

If you can't have fun in a Ferrari let alone a GTO something is seriously wrong.

Stomping on nearly 700 hp of Ferrari - is not ever going to suck

    Lucky guy

When he got out the huge smile on his face was very noticeable, I think its great to be able to share the magic of these cars with people. In the coming months I am hoping to get the Ferrari club involved in an event for orphans and terminally ill kids, had a 458 at the last event and its truly humbling how much a slowish lap around the track means to these kids.

You've got that right. On the contrary, it gets better as time goes on.

    Great initiative!!

The brakes are almost two good. They'll make you eyes pop out of your head if you forget and use them like standard steel brakes. Big, big first bite.
