I know there is a dedicated book thread but this may get a bit lost there hence a new topic! For anyone wanting to truly understand Ferrari I suggest finding a copy of Franco Gozzi's book: "Memoirs of Enzo Ferrari's lieutenant".

I found a new copy locally and yes it wasnt cheap the reading I have done some far suggest the cost was worth it. What a truly unique look at Ferrari, from a man who was there, saw things first hand and was involved in virtually every aspect of the company, there are a great collection of stories, some humerous, some serious and some very touching, his goodbye to Enzo in particular.

The translation into English is good and none of the magic appears to have been losts, the pieces I have read so far has all flowed well. There are also a great collection of pictures, many of which I have not seen before.

Its a unique book, just reading it gives one a unique understanding of not only Ferrari the man but Ferrari the company in those days.

If I could suggest just two books this one would be one of them.
