I have 2 Bieffe helmets that need new inserts. The inserts are glued in and are not the replaceable type.
Does anyone know anyone or a company that does this? I did a search for Bieffe but did not find much info to use.
Please PM to me if possible. Thank you.

Helmets usually need to be replaced every couple of years--at least mine do with the amount of use and abuse they see.

The materials do deteriorate over time and compromise your safety. If some components have worn out, I'd recommend buying a new helmet.

Have to agree with B-mark here. First look at the helmet sticker. If it is still a 95...get a new helmet. Assuming it is one of your open face helmets, you can get a nice new one for under $180 from G-Force.
I just bought a new helmet (every two years) which in my case is the helmet plus now getting Gaby to design it and sending it to Mike for painting. So it is not just the helmet but adds a lot for customizing it.
With almost getting used every other weekend (heavily) I use headsocks to prevent too much sweat go get into the helmet and my new one has removable inserts (made sure of that..). I use a new sock after every time I take off the helmet. Ina weekend racing I go through up to a dozend socks. :)

You've kinda answered your own question.

Considering its a safety item, and has a certification attached, I don't really think ANY company would want the liability of having an untrained person replacing something like the entire guts of a helmet. No offense, but if your trying to save money, cheaping out with the safety of your head isn't the best idea.

Martin, it's good to see your still racing! Last time I saw/spoke to you we were smoking cigers at Homestead. After a race put on by a little group known as CHRA.
    Take care!

    DANNNN!!!!!!!

how the hell are you :)
    Of course still racing.
I won two championships the following year with the Ferrari and with my Miata and this year one with my Spec Miata (was not racing the Ferrari). Once it gets in your blood.... :)

What are you guys doing? I have not heard anything from CHRA anymore. I emailed them a half year ago since they sponsored Amelia Island but...no reply.
