Man, I just threw out some Reeboks I had since 1998! They were good shoes.

I think AJ goes through cars faster than we go through a gallon of milk.

Well...as happens every fall season, I seem to take a short term new direction. I still have Diablos, always will. I really miss racing my Vipers, competitively. I have a new 06 Viper Coupe (blue/white stripes) being factory modded as we speak. And I am buying a Viper Competition Coupe for some serious tracking. And a Ford GT will be parked next to a Lambo in a couple of days. A little diversification can't hurt.

Well that is quite the car to come aboard with. I'd have had that it in big bold letters in my profile by now;). One of my favorite variants of the Diablo for sure, welcome.

    hi aj....as good as new....

funny you asked. just returned from a 100+ mile trip.

that diablo's rearend view driving down the road is simply an awesome sight to see so a buddy was driving behind me to videotape and take some hi-res pictures.., somewhere along the first 10miles or so he got left behind on interstate 35......i honestly didn't do intentionally....but once in 4th gear, i had trouble keeping it under 100mph :D :D and the engine just loves it....

    will post pictures and video....

Thank you to everyone who responded. I am indeed a lucky guy and I cannot get over what an incredible machine to drive it is.

The Lotus was great but this is absolutely the most fun I have had driving a car.

A.J. I have a quick question for you. On the wheels, there is an orange "SV" on one of them but not the rest. Any idea why? No biggie just trying to learn as much as possible about the car.

    Thanks
    Jeff

LOL! Actually that is my assistants car. I had and older cougar years ago as an airport car till it blew the head gasket with 130K miles on it.

lol. I have had a few SV's, and only 1 of them had the SV on all 4 wheels. Can't give you a reason. The wheels have not been repainted, although that is fairly common on the black inserts.

Congrats and welcome. Echo Tom's comments about A.J. and there is no doubt the car is straight up and correct in every way.

Tommy - yeah, I know what you mean..it's impossible to drive at 70 in 5th without wondering up and down the scale... I usually leave it in 4th and still find myself drifting up in the 80's or 90's by accident.

The look of the Diablo running down the road really is awesome. I think it was Bill W who once used the word "sinister" to describe the car... Well said.

Post the pix when u get a chance.

    congrats again, jeff...

frankie and jeff, to watch the Diablo driving on the road from the rear is just "UNREAL". it looks "OUT OF PLACE" and very much like a spaceship accidentally landed on the road....

i drove a friend's car while he was driving my diablo in front of me...and for a longest time, i was so mesmorized by its look that i completely forgot it was my own car....and on one occasion i almost rear end it.

as a important side note, driving this car in rush hour traffic is undoubtedly very disruptive as most people literally slowdown or speed up in order to catch a second glimse. they just have to make sure their eyes aren't playing tricks on them. i caught myself doing the same thing weaving in/out of traffic to catch up with it to make sure it's REAL....(and it was my own car :) )

    i beg to differ,

"sinister" if only you parked behind a ferrari, just on its own, its demonic.
