    ....just to let you good folks know that I lost my mom this morning at 1:45 AM.

    She was 82 and had lost her struggle with diabetes and alzheimers. Although my family has been preparing for this for some time....are we ever truly prepared?

    My deepest condolences.

    I know what you mean - no one is really prepared. I lost my dad to colon cancer and even though his prognosis was grim, every day when he was alive, he'd tell me that he beat 'them' for one more day. Each day gave him hope until the very end.

All those good things made the world a better place, for all of you, and no person can aspire to a higher goal. So remember to celebrate all the good, it really does help. You have friends and family to lean on, and you can be there for them to lean on as well. And for the little that it may help, you all have my sympathy.

    sorry. i lost my mom years back and all i can tell you is that it sucks, a lot.... but it does get better with time. spend time with your family,it helps, again sorry.
