Anyone else noticed this? They do a lot of investigations but no action. A lot different than last year it appears at least to me. IMO, it's a good thing. But it seems pretty obvious given today's race.
So far so great on steward calls. Season is going pretty well so far. There are still some boring races due to track layouts, but they're able to get close and race each other hard while having to work for it. Aero regs and tire compounds seem to be a success.
I think they've got it spot on this year. Let the drivers race and race hard. Just like it used to be. Well done to FOM.
When Lewis passed Seb and ran wide ,he didn't get a penalty for not going around the bollard on the left, because he didn't also run over the 'sleeping policeman' which are a bit further from the track.
Penalties was a big reason F1 has been difficult to watch for the last 10-15 yrs. There were years when it didn't even make sense to watch the race because the outcome would be changed Monday morning after all the penalties were assessed. That was also when I stopped buying grandstand tickets at the races. I pick Gen Admin now and enjoy the support race paddock instead. LSJ
