This drawing had to come sooner or later, so it may as well be now! I have long wanted to do a Ferrari F1 car, and so why not include Michael Schumacher....!? I've chosen the F2004 since it was a very successful car and a great year for both Michael and Ferrari! In fact I think the car that gave Michael his seventh World Championship title was in a league of it's own, as was Michael that year,.... and so, there is my background for making this drawing.....simply a tribute for the true Champions....Schumacher and Ferrari!! @Hank, You are an incredible but very dear supporter of mine Hank....always there for me ringside for my big battles..... ready with compliments, peptalks and, ready to throw in the towel in case it's needed!! Thanks brother, you're an invaluable support! ........ Still preparing for round two....hang on!!!
Hi Carsten, Does the "inspiration photo" have a date and venue of origin? When spectacular moments are looked at in history, it's nice to know when and where they took place. But then, maybe not in this case-----------"Ferrari & Team + Schumacher + 2004" says it all!! Have a wonderful Sunday, you three----------- With love and respect, Hank
Hey PAP----------- Isn't this guy the cat's meow, the lion's roar, the elephant's trumpet and one of the best things that could happen to a pen and a bottle of black ink!?! - -, not to mention, the artistic enlightment that he affords all of us. Be well man, cheers, Hank
Hi Hank, You already guessed the venue, now didn't you???!! Of course this is supposed to be a scene from May 9th- 2004 and the Spanish GP, where MS drove "Ferrari's 50th GP car" from "Pole position" to tie with Nigel Mansell's record by "winning the first five races of a season"! In this his "Formula 1 start number 200 of his career", "Michael Schumacher took his victory number 75"!!!! All of this was achieved by Michael Schumacher and the Scuderia Ferrari team despite driving with a broken engine header!!! That should be plenty to cause for a drawing......wouldn't you say so??!! With love Carsten
Thanks a lot PAP, I try my best every time... Thanks to Dave /dm_n_stuff, a new range of HQ limited edition lithographs of my work should soon become available from FChatstuff so keep an eye on his webshop at: Best Carsten
I can not waiting that I so beautifal drawings make. I work hard for higher drawing skills. Now building I a new professional site.
I really hope you will succeed Jorg! Your website looks great, and I clearly see that you know how to draw a car!!! Just keep on sketching my friend, and be patient! With a little patience and a strong will your skills will improve! It may sound strange, but my skills still improves day by day, even if I'm no longer as young as I feel!! One can always learn more, and one can always improve.....it never stops!! Best regards Carsten
Update 1 of this work! I have a feeling, it could take a while before this one is finished!! Image Unavailable, Please Login

Looking great, Carsten! Nice progress...! I've been wondering - what do you do if you "misplace" a line? - is it then back to scratch, or..?
Thanks Stefan, Yes, any bad mistakes that cannot be hidden, will mean that I have to start all over again! But, with a little extra patience, mistakes do not happen, or at least they will be very rare and so small or irelevant, that they can be left as is, or hidden somehow! I have scrapped a lot of "Killed" drawings over the years, believe me! But I also learned my lessons the hard way from all the times when things went wrong, so I never draw when I'm tired, or if I'm nervous for some reason......it just don't work! Best Carsten
Hey Roel, I knew this would be a monster project so I popped a huge load of popcorn - - and snuck it in the "theatre" back door. I'm sitting a few chairs down from you--------you can have some of mine if you run out Isn't this great fun!?! Another Carsten fan - California, USA, Hank
Hi Hank, allright when I come and sit next to you? This is gonna be a nice show. Also have some cheese snacks & dutch beer to share
Hank and Roel, I think perhaps you guys need to slow down a little with those Dutch beers.....they seem to give you some funny halucinations!! .....popcorns and cheese snacks should be no problem though! Love to you both Carsten
