Alonso has driving skill that’s true. But his toxic personality and his role in the last two big F1 scandals is too much to ignore. Besides it’s not like he was bringing Ferrari championship trophies either. Why would it suddenly be different now?

When I read some of the suggestions for new drivers, not just Alonso, it feels as if we’ve become “desperate “. No need for that. Ferrari deserves a true winner with many years in them.
    Hang in there folks!

You cannot compare Zanardi with Mansell. .

    Nigel was WDC, he wasn't.

  5. I know he wasn't.'Just replying to "how Fred would do in a full season of IndyCar. Only Nigel Mansell did it well". No mention of WDC.
RE: F1 WDC's, I would've included MA and JV, but that was the opposite direction. ;)

Non-starter for a non-Fernando reason: Sebastien's Ferrari contract would not permit the team to allocate his car to Alonso for any part of an F1 weekend.

I also think it would be more honest for Ferrari to sack Vettel if they are not satisfied than to start playing mind games with him.
If he has a minimum of self respect, Vettel should be immediatly on the phone to a good lawyer if ever such scenario was proposed to him.

Performance clauses are present in EVERY f1 drivers contract. Seb is no longer performing, he may not have the luxury of lawyer protection if he misses his minimum targets
