A new Countach is coming.

Agreed. I don’t dislike all modern supercars. I think they’re amazing, but some of them go way overboard with the aero. One example of a modern supercar design I do like is the Lotus Evija. I enjoyed seeing it at The Quail.

I am very sorry for Mr. Gandini that he had to experience this in his live.

 

Luckily they didn’t ask his opinion but his face says it all.

 

It's a very strategically positioned corporate video. They include the master designer in it, talking about various aspects of his incredible Countach design, then layer in footage of him as Borkett rambles on with pride about that ghastly car, though Gandini makes no comment about it.

 

I spoke to my friend reg this car. There is no Bertone involvement whatsoever in this project. Just to clarify. He is also a big fan of Gandini, exiting times ahead.

 

Bertone SpA the company guided by Nuccio Bertone, Marcello Gandini et al no longer exists, their genius Italian design flair will never be recaptured in Automotive design IMO, that era has ended, the company has morphed into the entity AKKA which uses the Bertone name and is poised to make SMART cars https://www.akka-technologies.com/case-study/sb-project/

My thoughts exactly, here's the company trying desperately to give their new design credibility by association.

Deceitful at worst, underhanded at best...

AKKA has had no connection with Lamborghini to date, specifically, what exciting times are ahead?

 

Akka has 15000 employees ,world wide, Bertone was bought for personal interest, lots of changes going on, looking forward

 

The “new Countach” actually looks worse to me the more I look at it.

It’s okay though as in another 6 months it’ll be all but forgotten about a la the Aventador J.

 

Worse as in ugly? Or worse as in not close to represent the iconic Countach ?

 

Just wait until one of these Countadors are handed over to one of the sad shows on MototrendTV................

 

I'm afraid with 112 units, this will not be forgotten so soon. Also, their slogan "Future is our legacy" (more like: "Our legacy is the future") makes me think the next flagship will look very similar to this. Seeing Gandini and Borkert together is like a boxing match between an undefeated heavyweight champion and a newbie who hit the gym a few times and thinks he's on the same level. Sorry to be so negative

All good but still no connection with Lamborghini unlike the original company who have a rich Lamborghini design heritage.

So many people have wasted time on renderings i find it odd.. they made what they made, it’s done. I think Everyone agrees it should have had more Countach details carried over and they lost a huge opportunity.
