Thank you for sending me the info. Truth is I would probably won't even hit a 100 mph. As a side note, I love this forum and appreciate the knowledgeable people here. You learn a new thing every time and for that I'm grateful.
After reading your article posted I didn't come away with the same understanding of 168 MPH limit you suggest rather a 106 MPH rating. It is my understanding the speed rating is the R in the middle numeral and not the W at the end of the tire rating numerica. The "W" had to do with something else? Perhaps the use with tire pressure sensors? My understanding comes from several years ago when a tire service person explained it to me as I had HR tires rated then @ 130 MPH and was thinking about going to R rated tires and he recommended not going to R rated tires. But I am certainly not a tire expert in any sense.
