Just about threw my laptop out the window of my Hotel room in Kelowna, BC. this week. At the front desk, I asked them if the hotel has wireless internet. They said no, but I can simply plug my laptop into the wire in the rom. OK, that was cool........Until I tried it. Plugged it in and could not connect. I called the front desk and they put me through to the tech support for hotels. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES LATER, the tech guy from XXXXX came on (Sorry, won't say where he was from, as QT3141 will bust my chops for being a racist, but I'm sure you can guess the country and the accent I could hardly understand). I told him my problem and he walked me through about 30 steps to change my IP address to the hotel's IP address so I could log-on. It was bad enough trying to understand his English, but connecting was beyond annoying. Why does conecting to the internet have to be so damn hard while on the road where you option is a wire. It was a nice hotel, but no wireless and my Air Card would not commuicate out of the country. I thought we live in the 21st Century?
