    We have settled into a nice routine. Every trip we take with the 612 we search along the route and at the destination for places to eat with the ViaMichelin app. You will see all the “starred” restaurants, but more importantly the rest of restaurants that are in the current year Michelin guide. Often these are small restaurants in small towns and/or rural settings, with world class food.

    We were heading to the home renovation project today (Loire Valley) and stopped for lunch at “Le Relais de Sologne” which is located in Menestreau-en-Villete south of Orleans and east of the A71 Autoroute.

    Today’s trip took us about an hour from the renovation project to the town of Bue, in the appellation of Sancerre. Destination - Momento, a husband/wife run restaurant where the husband runs the front of the house and the wife is the chef. She is from Mexico so you will find French/Mex fusion cuisine, an unexpected and wonderful blend, on the menu.

    The service and setting were sublime and there is a lighthearted and dare I say “fun” vibe to place.

    We have just returned to the UK from a trip to the South of France in our A Class motorhome, good fun, but looking at your amazing foodie photos I think we will follow your lead and return next Year in the 612 via the Michelin guide for a no deadline cruise back to our favourite Cote D'Azur spots!

    That’s a nice routine ;)

    I’m currently on vacation in Europe for a month and headed to France soon. I know the country very well and IMHO food invented and served in France is definitely the best one in the world (including quality and choices). What you find in supermarkets is day and night compared to the United States.

    When in France, I never hesitate to stop at truck-stop restaurants on the road. They look like nothing special but food is very good.
