Paul, just got the ECU's and the spacer's today. I put them in and the car is back to it's old self again. Thank you so very much for your efforts in helping me solve this problem. I am truely in your debt. The spacers are great! Not only do they make the car look better but they actually do solve the handling problem at the cars limits. I took the car out on my favorite stretch of curves as soon as I put them on and was amazed at the difference they make. You are a true gentlemen and I am pleased to say I have found a new friend. Tell Andy I appreciate his help as well. I hope all is well in England. To anyone considering adding a set of Paul's wheel spacers to your car I say don't wait any longer. They are a fine addition that you will be glad you invested in. I also have Paul's shift gate and shift knob. I have been equally pleased with these two fine products. Thanks again Paul, I hope I can return the favor sometime!

    Joe -

Most 348 folks get spacers to correct the poor rear offset on early cars, and put 25mm on the rear and 15mm on the front. Of course, those aren't "required" measurements, but simply increasing the rear track seems to make a gigantic difference in 348 roadhandling manners.

Me gots um on me 348 too.

    :)

You guys think Paul Hill rocks as a vendor? Let me tell you... as a reseller of his goodies, its a pleasure to work with the entire Hill Engineering staff.

    Thanks Daniel

the reason i ask is i have a buddy with a 348 spider, which has the longer hub on the rear wheels and it still tracks crappy going down the freeway

are you saying maybe he needs the 15mm spacers in fronts too ? i think it's worth a try for the price

    thanks
    your opinion is much appreciated

    Pretty cool overall!

Sounds like you had to replace both ECU's, not just the chips??

Whoa... don't throw money at this problem just yet.

A 94 spider already has the wider rear track, and should handle just fine. What most of us "early" guys are doing is trying to recreate the '94 setup. If your buddy's car doesn't track right, it's probably due for an alignment or some further investigation. Front spacers alone on a 94 spider will defeat the offset thats trying to help things.

Joe, Daniel is correct. The older 348's have a strange handling characteristic at thier limits that make the car a bit tricky to control. The spacers solve this problem and the wider trac makes the car look better too.

I've also got the Paul's excellent quick shift gate and titanium shift knob.

He's today advised me on spacers for my 348. I have a RHD 94 GTB with 355 alloys, so he recommends 15mm all round.

Plus, as he's fairly local I'll be picking them up from his premises. Which means I'll probably end up buying more stuff.

    hmmmmmm..............carbon fiber sills maybe.............. :D
