ugh! look at that floor! Rusted like it was nothing. Glad to see them rescued.

What are the prices these days for a car with needs, a driver, and a restored example?

    Gary,
The floor of the 2nd car is interesting. I dont know how much the technology on this has evolved but I had to fix some nasty rust on a Merak SS: bubbling on a fender and a floor you could make a screwdriver go thru. that was the mid-80s and I was told that it cannot be permanently fixed.
A floor section was replaced with a gavalnized zinc sheet but I was told now the issue would be the soldering points.
Can floors like these be fixed for good now? I never got a car with go thru rust since.

Permanently fixed? No, After careful and proper replacement, with better coatings to prevent rust, if the car was subjected to the same conditions in the next 50 years, as in the last 50 years, my prediction, and lack of warranty will say that the floors will have to be replaced on or about 2064. My appointment book doesn't go out that far! Seriously, there is no reason with today's protective coatings not to be able to offer many years of strength, and a rust free life. And remember, as wonderful as 350 Lambo's were, they were not constructed to fanatical standards. No one in the auto manufacturing business would hope for more than just a few years for their products to deteriorate, in high hopes of selling the customer a new replacement model.

just curious if either car has or should have the central seat in the back ? I understand they were a feature of the very early ones only...

Neither of these cars were three seaters! Ower the years, I have only had one in the shop, three seat that is, the ex Nicolas Cage car years ago.

O220 appears to have a very early horn push reminiscent of the 350gt original horn push . The badge logo as opposed to just the raging bull ? Love to see that close up .

No,I was asked to do this to Cage's Espada, but I refused. Not sure if this Espada was his, done by some one else, or maybe a twin. I was referring to 350's with a third seat mounted on the parcel shelf behind both front seats. Accommodations were less than perfect!

I had this exact discussion with Giulio Alfieri at Concourso Italiano back in 1991? as we were looking over my Bora together. After proclaiming it "new, better than new!" I asked him why the engine compartments of Boras were so poorly finished with much of the metal not even being primed just merely undercoated! He said exactly the same thing you mention Gary. They expected clients to buy new cars after 3 or 4 years and built them accordingly. He was truly astonished to see so many of his earlier creations looking so grand after all those years.

Hard to see how a person with an actual torso & limbs would get into that seat Gary? :D

Even more fun, is to watch a beautiful girl get into the back of an original Fiat 500. At a club event we all watched this with enjoyment :D.
