    Daniel came to visit us a few weeks ago in the DC area bringing goodies. Somehow I ended up with a Hill engineering slick shift gate since wetpet didn't want it. First off, Daniel, it was SO nice of you to simply give these things away.

    secondly, I knew about the slick shifter, but did not think it would make much difference. However, I was wrong, it really does. Shifts from 1st to 2nd in particular are much more natural and easier. 3rd to 4th is also a goo improvement. A great upgrade in my opinion, even if you have to pay for it :D :D

    Santa Daniel is indeed a good man!!!! He occasionally lands on the roof of the hangar with his reigndeer pulling the 348.....


    Daniel and David have always been good to us!!!! You guys should be glad we have them....

    Yep, Daniel is a first-class guy. It was great finally meeting him in person.

    I, too, will put in a plug for the slick-shift gate -- if you don't have one, you need one -- give Daniel a call.

    Ditto! We installed the Hill Engineering Thow-out Bearing and Flange on the 1995 355 GTS. We got those from Daniel and we will continue to puchase from them!

    What the heck.... I'll pile on here too. Daniel is awesome and supports us all extremely well with top notch customer service. But I have to ask about this slick shift thing... I don't understand the need for such a device. I don't have any problems shifting with the standard gate. Or, maybe I do and just don't know it LOL.. I have often wondered about slick shift, but could never justify the purchase..

    That is exactly what I thought and would have not paid for it, but now that I have it, I feel a substantial difference. Try it. I'm think you can return it if you don't like it, but I'd talk to daniel.

    Both these guys are awesome! I ordered a part on the Friday and it arrived half way around the world on Monday! That service is impossible to beat! I wish I lived closer to these guys; I would stop by with some ice cold beer and thank them personally.

    I must say that the H.E. slick shift gate is a great little item. I bought one for me, and one for my dad when I first got my 348 (along with the larger shift knob, drilled pedals, and wheel spacers / bolts) about three years ago. Since the Ferrari has been fairly reliable I haven't needed to buy too much since then. A 30k service kit two years ago, some floor mats, and the oil change kit (ordered yesterday).

    How is this for cool?

    I'm fortunate enough to be a member of the RICAMBI family in another special way, by sitting on both sides of their countertop. Since Daniel was always my first call regarding anything I needed for Rachel, It made absolute sence to take the relationship to the next level.

    Now, Daniel & David @ RICAMBI are my world wide distributors for Spider Top, etc.

    As buying from them is a joy, so is selling to them. My God, the check hits my door before the shipment hits their's ! :)

    As for the Slick Shift, I bought that little gem before my car was delivered !! I love it :)

    I'm still debating about getting one...I'm not planing to track my car and maybe not practical...
    I hear the Ferrari OEM 348 slick shift gate cost $600.
