Not sure where I should've posted this but I was looking for cars on Craigslist and stumbled upon a Carrera GT for $198,000 in the Houston area. The damage looks somewhat minor and there seems to be no damage to the engine bay area. If I had some money laying around I would buy it and fix it up. Sounds and looks like a legit ad; if it isnt, mods feel free to lock or delete the thread.

Wow, that poor guy looks like he took one hell of a right hook from the Missus. I guess he stayed out too late and partied to hard without her. Either that or he likes fast women and hot cars.

"THIS CAR RUNS LOOKS WONDERFUL (EVEN AFTER THE WRECK) ONLY 700 MILES MY BROTHER WRECKET IT AND THE INSURANCE PAID ME SOME MONEY BUT NOW I JUST WANT TO SELL IT!!...."

Judging by the all caps and that sentence, or lack of, doesn't sound like too bright of a guy. "WRECKET IT" = LMAO

This is probably a scam. The guy probably took these pictures at a junkyard and posted it for sale so he can make a quick buck and bolt. I'd be very careful about it.

I'd be very very afraid of repairing a C-GT, a colleague did some rather minor damage to his in town. I don't recall specifics but do believe the repair overhead was enough to make an Enzo blush :)

In all seriousness... would that be enough damage to "total" the car?

Not all the time, but I seem to see a lot of these high-end exotics with similar seemingly minor damage for sale. Does the owner simply want to take the $ and get out, or..... other?

If you've got the $ to buy a CGT in the first place wouldn't you think you'd be insured to make it right or get it fixed right?

judging from that pic and seeing what my friend did to his I'd say that will be a very expensive repair. A cracked headlight and front bumper cost almost $23k and I could barely see the damage from a foot away. Parts are frightening for the car.
