Somewhere out there, on this Pale Blue Dot (tm:CS), Paul Stoddart is chuckling to himself. He's chuckling to himself as he pours himself a glass of wine, then snips off the ends of a cigar - very likely a Montecristo. He relaxes into his chair a bit, the flint of his lighter briefly illuminating his face in a flash of white which turns to yellow as the flame from the lighter embeds a red smoky ember in the end of his cigar. He takes a long, slow pull from the cigar and he holds it in, savoring the flavor of smoke which tastes of a thousand amazonian forest fires. He exhales, and extinguishes the fire with a swig of the sauvage. He relaxes into his chair a bit more, sets his gaze across the Tasman Sea...he could be looking at anything, but one gets the sense that he's looking inward, and that for the first time in a long time, he will be going to bed a satisfied man.
Speak for yourself. Rating drivers isn't that hard. Senna never had it, that was apparent in the F1 shootouts he lost and why it took him forever to get into F1. Supertalents like Schumacher, Alonso, Vettel and Hami were fast right from the start. As was Senna Sr in the Toleman.
