You are in school and the teacher is handing out assembled packets of papers to the students, with instructions, and to fill out during and after a science experiment. The problem is he only has so many complete copies of assembled packets of papers to hand out. How many students will get a complete packet of assembled papers? What is the limiting factor?

    As Iwasateenferrarifan correctly surmised:

    82 complete sets

    incidentally;
    5 title pages
    1 sheet of instructions
    2 data sheets
0 sheets of graph paper will be left over

Say, rivee, where's our "'E' for 'Effort'" or "'S' for 'Satisfactory'" or Gold Stars by our names or A+'s or...

    ____

    Here's one:

A tour bus driven by a Mexican National crashed smack dab on the border between the US and Canada, aside from the driver there are, er, were 36 passengers on the bus, of whom 1/2 were Canucks, 1/2 were US'n's - all strewn about with 1/2 on their own country's side, 1/2 on the neighboring country's side. Where were the survivors buried?

It depends on how many students there are.

I'd say the limiting factor is the school's budget! When I was in high school, my whole science DEPARTMENT had $1000/year to spend on supplies. I remember bringing in some paper towels for extra credit. What a joke.

A father took his son to hospital for emergency treatment after an accident. The doctor greeted them, but on seeing the boy, exclaimed, "I can't operate on him - he's my son!" How can this be? (The son was not adopted, nor a step-son.)

What if there are only 31 students in the class? How will 82 of them get packets?

I agree. The question isn't "How many packets can be assembled?", it's "How many students will get packets?" The limiting factor is the number of students.

When I was a sophomore in HS, there was an optional early morning Sex Ed class. Everybody got a letter in the mail from the school about the class. However, instead of the informational letter, I got a copy of the annual retirement fund summary. Which probably explains why I believed in the stork until I was 19.

The father was the one injured, not the son. The doctor at the hospital is the injured man's father (which would also make him the boy's grandfather).

I think you're getting that puzzle confused with this one:

"Brothers and sisters have I none, But this man's father is my father's son."
