Hey all it's my first time posting here even though I've been around for a while just looking but I wanted to know about some F-Cars.

    1) Dose the F50 come in only hard top or no top? If so can the hard to be taken off to make it a convertable?

    2) Dose the Enzo really not have power windows or CD player?

    3) Same question about CD player and windows for the F40 and F50.

    4) Wich car of the three has enough room in them for a man over 6'1''?

    5) Do the Enzo and F50 come with a spare tire like the F40?

    1. All F50s have a removable top.
    2. Yes.
    3. Yes.
    4. More headroom in the F50 (see #1).
    5. Not sure.

Hmmm did'nt know that about the F50. So the average hight for a person in a F40 or Enzo would be about 5'10'' and under...

The F40 does not come with a spare tire, although it does have the space for one in the front. It does come with a big can of fix-a-flat, though :D

Not sure about the 50 or the Enzo though, but I can't think of a place where they could have hidden one on either car.

i dont believe these super cars were designed to fight tall people but i believe it shouldn't be a problem to fit some people that are 6'1. i believe the murci is shorter and it can still fit people that are 6'3 and taller. (these people are sports players like Kobe . . .)

I think that anyone unders 6'5" could probably fit in any of these cars, but with the advances in ergonomics between the F50 and Enzo, my guess would be that your best bet would be the latter if you don't like being bug blasted...

It makes no sense when they say F40 doesn't even have door handles inside in order to save weight

but it DOES feature electrical POP-UP headlights !!! and Air Conditioner of Course!

I don't need a radio or door handles... I do need the A/C. That front windshield is large and acts as a very large greenhouse. Not to mention the nuclear reactor 8 inches behind my head...

As for the pop-up headlights... they were a result of the safety laws of the day... no faired in headlighs behind glass at that time.

Sorry, to break it to you, Enzo and the design team at Ferrari/Pinin Farina knew what they were doing.

What, seriously no door handles? You mean to get out or to get in?

Because is that is the case then the F40 has some serious flaws.
Then again don't they all? Im sure the Enzo and F50 both have their own flaws as well. Seeing as how there is no CD player or power windows.

Nothing says "Million Dollar Supercar" like driving something you'd find back in the 70's.

I guess you could get a CD player put in at a shop though, but then again maybe not. It DOSE come with at least a AM/FM radio right?

No, no radio. See, the thing about Ferrari supercars since the F40 (the 288 GTO has some of the extra's you're looking for, but good luck finding one) is that they were designed to be the finest expression of racing/F1 in a road car: hence, no creature comforts. Radios, power windows, locks, mirrors, all that stuff, add weight, and more importantly, are not present in Ferrari's (or anyone's) race cars. The idea is that whatever is not necessary is therefore not needed. They have become more and more accomodating since the F40, but are not GT cars. And yes, you could say that these cars have "flaws", but that would be being picky. Time is the only flaw these cars have, because it brings about technological advances which are manifested in replacements. But as before, that would be being picky as well. Don't miss the point in these cars over a radio or CD player, which is that less is more.

So in other words you're saying these cars are more of the type of person who just has it to drive like.....THAT GUY! *points at a random guy in a croud* As to like a guy like me who likes to show off and enjoy his ride? That seams like the conflict here. Someone like me would be better off with an F430, 612, 360, or 599 GTB as apposed to a Ferrari Supercar. A car that drives nice AND has "creature comforts" (Wich is what I want in a car)

But oh well those are middle and upper aged men cars anyway, the newer cars are more for the younger croud. Not litteraly but it seems like that is how it is no days.

To get out, there's a wire/chord in the door panel you pull down to open the door. To get in, there's a lever that sits flush with the door panel. I'd call it a door handle for the outside, but it's far from the stereotypical one.

Simon, when we went to FoCF, was the passenger seat all the way back?

Come on guys, if THIS isn't a wind up then I don't know what is. Don't rise to the bait......

PS. I think the F40 is utterly useless and undeserving of supercar status as it has no cupholders :D

Al, almost certain it was. I usually keep the passenger seat all the way back.

The passenger footwell, isn't as deep as the driver's side. The passenger footwell ends at about the same position as the pedals on the driver's side.

That makes sense. When I sat in the driver's seat at Celebration, you put the seat back and there was noticeably more legroom than the passenger side. I had my leg fully extended I think for the clutch travel.
