    Hello,

If I remember correctly, the F50 (like the F40) did not come with power assisted brakes. I was wondering, wouldn't that make it harder to stop the car? Also, how is the feel of the pedal? Do you have to "stand" on the brakes hard? I love the F50. I think it is the last of the pure super Ferraris.

    Cheers,
    Andy

PS. Please feel free to post pics of your F50s. :)

I too am also an F50 nut...But perhaps you should search the forums and check out the F50/Supercar tab for F50 pictures there.

As for the brakes for the F50, I am not sure. I didn't see any photos of brakepad changes or anything of that sort...but would love to see more though!

You are right, brakes are not assisted on the F50....neither is the steering.

Brake feel is progressive and doesn't require excessive "standing on it" to stop. Excellent feel and modulation, its no wonder this setup finds its way onto so many other cars as an aftermarket application.

Thanks for the info. Great pics of your F50 (as well as your other toys) in your posts, btw. If I may ask, what is your specialty? I am a physician myself too. I just finished my anesthesia residency, so I still have a looooong way to reach your level of automotive bliss.

    Best regards,
    Andy Santos :)

I'm in ER Andy. You picked a great field man...I don't know how saturated pain management is, but thats such a good area to concentrate in as well. My wife just finished her residency (radiology), so its nice to have more than 3 weeks family vacation a year !!!!

all the best to you and good luck ! :)

To those who just finished, a very happy July 1 indeed! I'm entering the tunnel in a month, hope Fchat is still around when I exit it a decade from now...

Just how it should be for ultimate feel IMO. Gotta love the F40 and F50 for that.

I know a guy here in pain management - he's rolling in it. Young guy, too. Big big money.
