I am going to get my first training in auto mechanics next fall and my end goal is to become a Ferrari mechanic. I know it will be a long road but I am prepared to put in the time needed and gain the proper experiance in order to reach my goal. I would like to know how you became a Ferrari mechanic? What type of education do you have? How did you get your foot in the door? What certification do you think was most usefull to you in gaining employment as a Ferrari mechanic. Any insight, thoughts, or "how I became a Ferrari mechanic" stories you could pass my way would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Q.C.

TBakowsky is a ferrari mechanic on the site, and has responded before - It's boring, but you'll find some good stuff searching for his stuff on topic.

And welcome to FChat! If you get a chance, filling out your city might help getting a local reply and offers.

But Steve seemed so optimistic and upbeat, I thought he might be able to handle it! No?

Any career can be repetitive, and competitive. But you do get to play with some cool iron when you're the wrench. Just have to deal with us very protective and cheap owners - ha ha...

oops!! Didn't mean to put you off..but you have to look at the reality of the situation. Its not all fun and games. Its hard work, and can have a stress level that would surprize most folks.

I'm not saying don't get into it (well maybe I am). You just have to be very determined and be will to "stick" it out for a few years. You will know when you can make a move to better cars.

    Good luck.

    Tom.
