    Greetings All,

I'm trying to find the best spot to view the race from. Does any one have suggestions on where to sit for the best vantage point.

    Thanks in advance.

Monte Carlo F1 race is not the best viewing race, but the overall atmosphere is fun. I think one of the best places is the swimming pool area. Watching the cars up close do the left-right-right-left turn sequence at a high velocity is fun. If you sit at the right spot in the area, you can see the monitor for other parts of the track and see the cars go down the hill out of the tunnel. Then for alternative views, you can gaze at the nice boats with beautiful people in the background. :)

T13-T16. The pool is in the way; hence the turns.

Could this also provide a good view of them heading up the hill to the casino and coming out of the tunnel down toward the chicane? Looking at the seating map this would be grandstand M

As you navigate through ticket booking this list becomes visible:

    Grandstand A1:
Located at the inside of the first corner St. Devote. A lot of action is guaranteed at the start of the race.
    Grandstand B:
Positioned opposite the famous Cafe de Paris, Grandstand B offers fantastic views of the cars coming towards you from the Casino Hill, and the right-hand corner directly in front of Grandstand B. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand C
Located on the short straight before the cars enter the tunnel, Grandstand C offers views of 2 corners as well as the short straight in front of the grandstand.
Grandstand K High (row 4 and up):
Located in the harbor of Monaco before the swimming pool, Grandstand K High offers the best view from a grandstand in Monaco. The cars come towards this grandstand from the chicane. The straight from the chicane to the grandstand as well as the section in front of the grandstand can be seen. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand K Low (row 1-3):
Located very close to the track, this grandstand offers views of the short straight and the left hand corner to the left of the swimming pool. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand M
Located next to Grandstand K, Grandstand M offers great views of the harbor area. A video wall is situated opposite.
Grandstand L High (row 4 and up)
From the high rows of Grandstand L, you will see part of the pit lane, as well as one corner and the small straight in front of the grandstand. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand L Low (row 1-3)
See one corner and the small straight in front of the grandstand. A video wall is situated opposite.

    Grandstand P-N:
Located opposite the swimming pool, Grandstands P-N offer good views of the straight in front of the pool, and the chicane in front of the grandstands. A video wall is situated opposite.
Grandstand O High (row 7 and up):
Located opposite the swimming pool, Grandstand O offers a great view of the track around the pool area. A video wall is situated opposite.
Grandstand T High (row 14 and up):
Positioned directly opposite the pit lane, Grandstand T High offers exceptional views of this section of the course. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand T Low (row 1-13)
Grandstand T offers views of the small straight in front of the grandstand. A video wall is situated opposite.
    Grandstand X1-X2:
This grandstand is situated directly on the start/finish straight, and is the only stand that offers views over this section of the course.
    Secteur Rocher General Admission:
Situated behind Grandstand V, this general admission area is on the hill going up to the Grimaldi Castle. Sturdy shoes are recommended for climbing the hill, which offers a good general view of the circuit. A video wall is situated opposite, but at a distance.

Awesome Garee! That'll be so much fun. Monaco F1 is high on my bucket list. Going to Austin this year -- not quite Monaco, but still a lot of fun!

I'm going to do Singapore in September, you should come too. We can chew gum and spit on the sidewalks :)
The plan is to hit at least 2 races per year until I have seen all of them.

    Gareeb,

I have no comments on the GP viewing but I just got back from Monaco a few days ago. I was fortunate enough to drive and walk most of the course and agree with the posts above.

If you haven't been I'm happy to share a few ideas on things to do see in the area.

You may already know that next weekend (as in the 12th) they are running the historics on the GP course?

In other news, the boats are incredible. I'm sure it couldn't have been it, but I might have spotted Le Grande Bleu out just past the harbor!

I recommend checking out the top 20 boats list. You can find it on wiki. Some very important vessels are parked nearby. I do not believe any of the top 20 fit in the harbor though the boats they carry certainly do. For reference, Le Grande Bleu carries both a 70' sailing yacht AND a 65' power boat but only has one helipad. Eclipse (the largest at 541') has two helipads and a submarine excape vessel.
