I understand where you're coming from, but you're not accepting that 400/350 is NOT harsh. They stop nose dive and squat and hold the car nice and flat around corners. That's what springs do. the shockers are what will make the harsh if you dial them up hard enough. Further searching on fchat on the subject will reveal many people who have said that the shocks allow adjustment from floaty soft to super hard. You don't appear to be thinking past "springs"

I can absolutely assure you that the harder springs will not give you a hard/harsh ride. Like you, I tried to reinvent the wheel (even though you're not going off track as far as I did) and I had to redo things. In the end, I wish I'd done the first time what I did the second time.....a thorough search on the topic in this section and following the advice of what others had tried, tested and reported back on.

When my mechanic installed my springs/shocks he initially had the shocks set on zero and thought I'd totally screwed up with the springs, because the car was bouncing up and down like an old Cadlillac. It's not until you start to dial in the shocks that they start to get firm.

I don't think I'm getting my point across. lol

I'm trying to keep an open mind and learn as much as I can. I did some additional research on Fchat and found this thread (http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/62728-308-spring-shock-settings.html) where Atlantaman stated the following: "I went with 325# (eib-1000-250-0325) springs in front and 275# eib-1200-250-0275)in rear---I have my shocks set on position #2 and even at the next to lowest setting--it rattles my teeth the ride is soo stiff......" My choice of springs are only 25 pounds different, so shouldn't my set up allow me to adjust my shocks to get a fairly wide spectrum of harsh to soft?

No problem, but idk about different shocks. For full disclosure, this morning I ordered an additional set of springs 400/350 and will have a pre-installation conversation with my suspension mechanic guru before we commit. I want to do this one time only (as you suggested).

    I know this is
I know this is a bit old thread, but was any outcome from your experience? 400/350 or 300/250?
What was your assessment with your mechanic?

I got the 400/350 and have the shocks set on 7. The car sits flat and nose dive is greatly reduced while the ride is still compliant.
