    If you're having a bad day, try this on. On July 30th I attended my Grandson's first birthday party where I had a very nice talk with his other Grandfather. He looked great and we made plans to get together. In September he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and given two years to live. In October it went down to six months. I went to Florida for two weeks over Thanksgiving and got back on December 1st to find a message that he had died on November 30th. We are the same age. Tonight is his viewing. Today is my birthday.

    Sorry to hear about this. Stay positive......... I can tell you I just saw a story on the news last night that they are working on a treatment that will inject cancer cells with "nano" technology that can be heated to kill just the cancer cells. The advantage is that it is non invasive and has no side effects like traditional chemo. So, have comfort that your grandchild will hopefully never have to go through this.

    Then, as I say to my father, please take care of yourself as best you can so your grandson can grow up and get to know you, and you can tell him all about his other grandfather. Having almost lost two parents to cancer, every day they spend with their only grandchild is an absolute blessing.
