Will a set of wheels and tires that fit on a 246 have the same offset as my GT/4 and fit on it as well. I think they are 17' HRE's?

Sorry to intrude, only got a "may be close" in the 308 section. Thankfully someone was willing to help. Could you guys perhaps have any idea? Would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

    Cheers

As Russ indicated, both 308 and 246 stock wheels do not have the huge positive offsets more common to later F chassis -- so most likely OK.

The nominal wheel offset of the 308 chassis is ~+11mm. I can't recall anyone posting the 246 stock nominal wheel offset, but perhaps it's here (or someone please post) -- or can't the Seller measure them?

I'd be more concerned about width -- the 246 must be more restrictive for width -- are these 246 HRE wheels 6.5" wide (too narrow for a 308GT4 IMO) or 7" (OK, but 8" looks better at the rear of a 308GT4 IMO)?

They definately look wider that my stock GT/4 wheels. I'm trying to get more info on them soon. Thanks! This could be good!

The drawings I included in "Dino Saga 051009" might help you. The original 6 1/2" wide wheel drawings show the stock set-up and offset. The various pictures of my car in other "Sagas" show how the non-stock wheels fit the stock body. Just search on "051009" to find the story.

You were too quick to quote me ;) -- I just lobed that text in as a placeholder to go back and edit and knew that it was scrambled (I changed my mind about the red one too -- the back wheels seem just too wide/dished for 7" x 14").

If someone's got a shot of a 246 with 7" x 14" 308 wheels all around please post (or correct me if those are 7" x 14" on the red one).

Got some more info on the wheels. They are 345 series HRE's with 234 / 45/ 17 tires? Comments?
