Would that be great or what. But seriously, I don't think anyone will pry him away from Ron Dennis for the next 5 years. Boy what he would do in a Ferrari.
Yeah Ron has invested way too much time and money into Hamilton. This was more for kicks than anything.
Yeah. Too bad RD can't afford to hire a barber to trim his team's sideburns. Hello. They went out in the 70's.
JT is telling LH to go ask RD why his second stop was more than 2 seconds longer than FA's......just enough to allow FA to grab second...hmmmmmm
Ah Paul, easy with the conspiracy theory, Fernando burned off more fuel...right? Whats wrong with the side burns?
I want JT to start fcukin with LH's head and sow the seeds of a GV-Didier Pironi sized rift, that way Ferrari can grab him sooner..... Besides, we couldn't have an F1 rookie on a circuit he'd never seen before school his 2 time WDC teammate, now could we Tony? Seriously, if Massa were leading and Kimi grabbed the lead as a result of a quicker pitstop, all the haters would be saying how Ferrari favored Kimi, etc. On another note, if Massa hadn't had his problem I think we were definitely looking at a Ferrari 1-2... I'm still shocked how easy KR made it look...his fast lap was more than 1.1 sec faster then FA's, who in turn barely edged LH's fastest lap.
With all the Massa vs. Kimi aside, I agree it would have been Ferrari 1 and 2, with McLaren 3 & 4. This kid Hamilton is just immaculate in his driving, I don't think he is a flash like Nico Rosberg either.
I agree. What is was trying to say by being suspicious if Massa was growing sideburns was that since Massa wasn't as fast he was trying to look like Lewis thereby making it unnecessary for Ferrari to hire a driver with sideburns since he already had them. Jokes are funny when you have to explain them. sorry. It is getting late and I am getting punchy. Seriously, LH looks like the real deal. I am worried for Scuderia Ferrari. If I were Alonso, I'd really be worried. Could get interesting over at McLaren if this kid starts beating the world champion. we'll find out what Alonso is made of. Will he pull strings or let the better driver win?
Rosberg burst on the scene last year and did a great job in his first race but pissed the bed after that; LH did great in testing and stayed with his 2 time WDC teammate in his first GP. Excellent!!!! Yes I know it is early but FA's gotta have his mind on the fact that this ain't no Fisi....
why are u hitting on those 'burns Phill? i used to have those during my skoolin days too i was worshipped like a rockstar
Won't happen soon for several reasons: - Dennis will not let go of his newly found crown jewel anytime soon. - Massa is doing an ok enough job as #2. No need for any quick moves - Massa's time in the red car is numbered. He might be gone in 08 anyhow. ...however in the long run, who knows? Would be cool.
Rubens was given his release halfway through a 2-year contract, too. Could happen. On the other side, there is no way Ron Dennis is letting Hamilton go, I'll bet he has him on a 5 year contract, minimum.
But what if Ron and McLaren split? Is Hamilton under contract with McLaren or with Ron Dennis? http://sport.guardian.co.uk/formulaone/story/0,,1986809,00.html
Rubens was the one asked out, not Ferrari. but then again, Ferrari made no attempt to get him to change his mind, so....
This is amazing. One race, and you are changing driver line-ups. If I remember correctly, Kubitza did well his first race, everyone thought he would be the next WDC, then for the rest of the season he was usually slightly better than mid-field. Now Hamilton does well the first race, the race where everyone is getting used to their new chassis in race conditions, and he will be WDC before the 3rd race is over? And the "down on Massa brigade" has Phil written off, even though his performance Sunday was quite good, started last, full fuel, traffic, backmarkers with questionable talent, no mistakes, etc. Are these opinions drug or alcohol related? Most of you should know better. When the 8th race of the season is completed, your opinions about Hamilton and Massa may in fact be correct as we will have a better idea as to the progress of the season. By the US Grand Prix, we will know the true challengers for WDC. Or by the 8th race you may look like fools.
