    So what is your point?

Are you suggesting we just watch F1 until then and do not comment at all. Maybe we should just close down the Racing forum until the 8th race has passed?

Part of the fun of an online forum is to speculate about the future. In hindsight everybody is right. What's the point in that?

I have been right in the past and I have been wrong. So what? I'm not getting paid if I'm right. I make predictions because it is fun to do so. And because I enjoy a good argument.

Or the Massa apologists will be proven fools after the first race

    Are yours?

Massa has been an underperformer his entire career and this race was no exception. You can contrive all the excuses you want but the fact remains that he was soundly and thoroughly thrashed by his teammate...the very teammate that you contended would be outpaced by Massa because he was new to the team, unfamiliar with the equipment and less favored by the team, etc, etc, etc.

Face up to reality, Ron. Your boy has been a #2 his entire career and he is starting off with his latest teammate in exactly the same fashion as he left his last one, well behind the pace and fighting with mid-packers for position.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the mysterious self-refueling car he was running...

You're kidding me, right? You watched the same Australian GP as I did, I hope. The one where his gearbox broke in qualifying, relegating him to last on the grid after an "engine change"? The one where he went from last to 6th, even after being held up by Jenson Button for several laps... I'm no Massa apologist (I do hope he does well though) , but at least be sensible in your counterpoint. That made no sense, I'm sorry.

What you call being "held up" by Jenson, I call a driver who has an inability to overtake. The Honda is such an embarrassment that it is even being beaten by Super Aguri. Massa was in a Ferrari, the fastest car on the grid by far, and he spends several laps stuck behind a Honda?!? I don't recall Kimi having any difficulty driving past backmarkers, do you?

Going from last to 6th is not that remarkeable an accomplishment when you consider he was driving a Ferrari and overtaking the likes of STR, Spyker, and Super Aguri. Half the grid can do that.

No the fact that he spent that much time behind the Honda's shows his inability to pass. Remember Michael in Brasil in 06 passing like crazy, even when he had a tire cut, he still finished fourth and passed Kimi. Why couldn't Massa get by Fisi?

Ron, everyone is entitled to their opinion as Andreas stated, if you don't like it you don't have to respond or read it either.

If you read one of my posts on the first page, I admitted that this thread was "mostly for kicks" in reference to the picture. It's only common sense to admit that Ron woln't let this kid go for anything. Also, the idea that we may be right or wrong about certain things is what makes predictions and talking about racing fun, lighten up man.

How about debating the really important stuff..like..

Who had the sideburns first...Is LH emulating FA or is it the other way around.

And do I need to grow some to look like I'm still in my twenties? I can see it now:

    Cute blonde chick: "Nice sideburns!"
Me: "Ya, thanks, I only grew them because they keep my headsock in place under my helmet"
    Cute blonde: "Helmet?"
Me: "Yes, I'm a multimillionaire Formula 1 driver. I drive for McLa....FERRARI, yeah that's the ticket"
Cute blonde: "Well, they look good on you. Wanna go out with me and my twin sister?"

    Or something like that.
