I've been into off-road racing ever since i saw the WRC. Now i've been catching up on the CORR truck series that speed usually plays during the week/weekends. Always look forward to the Paris/Dakar races at the end of jan./begin of feb. aswell. Anyways, this looks like a cool experience and it would be tons of fun to actually participate in one of the actual races before i die.

We travel to Baja a few times a year to ride. Always a great time for us. Infact my wife ran the Baja 250 course with Wide Open. They have been running the tours down there for a long time. I believe they were the first. Instead of the trucks the use 2 seat buggies. The route my kife and fellow YPO members took, was from Ensenada to Mike's Sky Ranch (overnight). Then from MSR to San Felipe. The only casualty was a buggy. One of the people in the group hit a stump, and completely ripped the rear suspension off of it. Ouch.

I'm not sure of the link posted, but I believe Wide open charges about $ 2500 or so, to do the Baja 250 course. And owning an off road car and knowing the abuse they take....thats cheap.
