A Testa Query

Hi from a UK Testa owner,

Just wondering of the 7177 Testa's made 84-92 how many are in the USA, I think they were primarily made for the US market.

Here in the UK I don't know for sure but I would guess there are no more than 100 cars, tho Ive never seen more that about 5 at the Ferrari shows, theres always about 12 for sale most of the time, so maybe theres a lot less.

Anybody got any idea on numbers???

I think the US usually gets around 50% of all ferraris made

Ironically, The Commies in California seem to like Ferraris a lot so about 1/2 the USA Ferraris are in CA

Only about 200 or so Testarossas were imported to the States per year during it's production run. Even less in the first couple of years as the production was not yet up to full speed, also, I don't think Testarossas were officially imported to the States until 1985 (US market:1985-middle of 1991) as the European market always gets the new cars at least 6 months before US market. So, if I have to guess, I would probably say that about 1,000-1,200 Testarossas that was imported to the US by FNA.

 

My current records show around 2,000 Testarossas in USA and Canada. It's not an official number, but I'm sure that I'm quite close to the real number.

I have no numbers for the UK, but I think it should be a lot more than 100. Normally UK gets around 10%, so it would be more around 700 cars or so.
