Basically, during COVID, most elective/outpatient services were shutdown. The number of coronary angiograms dropped by almost 30% = significant delays in diagnosis = more deaths.

 

So premature deaths have pulled the curve to the left. Hopefully the numbers will now regress to the mean shape of the curve and it will correct the blip

Although Fleming is credited with its discovery, it was an Australian, Florey, who realised its importance and pushed hard for its use as an antibiotic. Benzathine was a later variant developed in the US - a horribly painful intramuscular injection, but great for treating Syphilis.

Condolences to Elizabeth

 

Oh no! That is so sad- Tony and Elisabeth are two of the few people I consider my heroes! Always first on and last off the dance floor, still (as far as I know) driving their Ferrari up to the Blue Mountains each week... So gracious and elegant always.

 

That really is so sad,.Tony & Elizabeth were such fun on drives rallies & Tony & Brandon on track days. Have sat & had many a nice Red with Tony over the years.

 

Kena thank you for the kind words. It has been a struggle with his loss however the man was a legend in my eyes. Taught me everything i know from driving to business. Kind and Loving man.
